FAQ

Why do forwarded emails get rejected?

Many providers enforce security policies that can break when mail is forwarded between domains. Unfortunately these are silent rejections, so you don't know what mail you are missing.

How does MagicForward fix that?

You forward to a "magic" address like abcdef@magicforward.email linked to your desired destination. We accept the mail and place it directly in your external account, without ever "sending" it.

What credentials do I provide?

You provide the usual credentials for a mail client: IMAP server and username/password (an app password is recommended where available). We encrypt credentials at rest and use them only to append your messages into the folder you choose.

Can I forward multiple accounts to the same place?

Yes. Just set up a separate MagicForward address for each one, with the same destination. You get 5 addresses per account. This is commonly used to set up Gmail as a unified mailbox.

Who makes MagicForward?

MagicForward is built and maintained by Sam Gralla. It started as a fix for a real problem: reliably getting university email into Gmail without silent forwarding failures. Today it’s a paid service focused on reliability.
